Operation Daily Driver

Can anyone shed some light on “Repair Manuals” I’ve heard of green ones that are 3 inches thick, Haynes, chilton, but which ones are supposed to be the best?

You want the set of OEM Ford manuals for your year of truck. Haven't done serious enough work to need one for my '88, but I've got them for my '86, and got them for my old '76 Caddy. Just keep an eye out for them on eBay. I find the Chilton and Hayes manuals are too vague on some subjects, and sometimes have the wrong info (wrong firing orders etc).

I have to second that. I have had "generic" manuals before but they're just too general for me. I want the specific information for each of my vehicles. The Ford manuals for my '88 F250 were on CD's and were reasonable off ebay or amazon. Nice thing is they can be on my computer at work and on my laptop in the garage.
