Picking up my '18 F350 SRW this week. Just a work truck but I have to at least dress up the wheels and tires. I have a set of Pacer LT Mods with 285-70-17s on my 2013.
I plan to do the same here with this truck but just a quick question. Wheels are not exactly my expertise.
These are 18" wheels. If I order a set online, all I know is 18" with 8 lugs for a heavy duty truck. Anything I need to know regarding offset and width?
Keep in mind that the stock wheel offset is +40. As you go less than that, including negative offset like the wheels you are looking at, it will push the wheel/tire further outside of the truck.
As a basic reference, a +20 offset with a 295/65 or 35” tire will bring it nearly flush with the fender, just a bit outside of it.
You may be looking for that look in which case these will be perfect.
Looking up 17" Pacer LT Mods, it says they have a -12 offset. I have had zero issues hauling loads exceeding the truck's ratings. No wheel or hub problems and always good even tire wear. The Pro Comp wheels only have a -6 offset so they should be even better regarding weights.
By the way. The only reason I'm not getting Pacers again is they don't make an 18" wheel. But I'm old school and I like that style. No black for me at all.
I just put a complete set (4) of Michelin M&S along with a set of Pro Comp alloys on one of my work trucks for $1092.00 mounted install -- tires ($733) were a Costco special, wheels were $359...........reused some 60 degree conical lug nuts, but everything else (including caps) was brand new.........they used nitrogen (which I don't have), and the warranty is full road hazard and 70K (tread) mileage
