Sway bar issues

Hey yall ive got a 79 f100 1/2 ton i obtained a. Sway bar from a 79 f 250 the c brackets will not line up can they be modified to fit?

Are you talking about the rear sway bar or front sway bar?

Are you referring to 5C499 in pic? If so, it's the same: 1975/79 F100/350 2WD & 1975/91 E100/350 (Econoline).

The 5C499 has a centering pin. The radius rod needs to be notched in the correct spot to allow that pin to seat and the holes to line up. That keeps the bracket from rotating. The notch can be seen in the shaded part # 3A360 in the lower portion of the diagram above.
