I have a sway bar from a 76 F250 on my 66 F100. My Ibeams & radius rods are from a 78 F150. I think the post '73 radius rods have the notch in the end to accommodate the factory sway bar bracket.
Note the notch in the radius rod and the pin in the bracket in this pic:
Did Ford Make one for the rear or is that something I'll need to fabricate?
They made one for the '73 & up trucks but the rear frame rails are a little wider than the 66. It might work with some modification though. I haven't actually seen one. Maybe someone will reply who has one on their truck. There are also some aftermarket ones that should work fine too.
I'll be doing some shopping this week for my truck. I know of a few 70's model trucks and I'm also gonna look up Summit and Jegs for the application ... do a price comparison.
My truck has swaybars front and rear. I have to say that taking cloverleafs is a joy. It handles incredibly for such a big truck. I love the looks on peoples faces when they look in the rearview of their Honda and see me coming.
I have front and rear sway bars. Both factory junkyard take offs. I dont remember having to do any mods to install them. The rear is a little to close to the shocks,But have'nt had any issues.
