AOD TV cable adjustment
I replaced the engine in my 86 150. The transmission always shifted good never a problem. This is the problem I have now when you first start the the truck and let it run untill it comes off high idle, when you put it in drive the rpm's increase and there is a delay before it goes into gear. It will do this no matter if the trans. is hot or cold. when the truck is warmed it does'nt go to high idle but there is still delay before going in. If you let it idle for about 5 minites it won't do this. Could this this be the tv cable adjustment? The shifting seems to be ok or a tad bit early.If it is this adjustment what is the correct adj. ?
