When I was searching for a new cab about 5 years ago, the salvage yard I had bought a few parts from in the past told me they got rid of all the older F Truck parts when the prices for scrap iron went way up. I started looking at tow companies that have big storage yards. I found one that had 15-20 acres of old trucks and asked if he would consider selling any parts. He told me he did not scrap them when the prices were high because some one could use the parts and he didn't need the money as badly as someone would need the parts. We went and looked at all the dentside cabs he had and found one that other than surface rust was pretty cherry. I got the complete cab and doors for $820.00. Look for some old school tow companies in your area that may have something you can use. Another option.

No joke it's like going to Cuba. I went for one truck and ended up with 5 trucks in New Mexico for super cheap. Spent more on the transport home to California then I did on the trucks.

I've been watching craigslist and ebay for anything close to me with no luck. I do not know anything about Indian reservations but sounds like a great possibility. Where do I go to look for something on an Indian reservation? I've googled some with no luck and I live a long way from any reservations.
