Updated it with a Leer 122 Hi-Rise canopy. This is a much better setup than any of the tonneau covers I've had in the past.
I was thinking about getting the higher rise top for this truck and punched out at the last minute and got the cab height (same as my last one).

I wanted the extra height to make it easier to manage all the stuff that gets loaded up when we take the trailer out. I have a couple buddies with the 122 Hi-Rise on their Chevy 2500 HD's so I was able to get a good look before commiting. I think it looks a whole lot better with the trailer hooked up now than before. Anecdotally it seems to be eeking out about a 1/2 mpg or slightly more than before the topper. Certainly hasn't hurt the towing mpg and the front cap on the trailer had a bit less bugs on it after the last trip which is an added bonus.
