This is probably gonna sound really dumb, but I searched for a whine in the rear half of my 84 for about 5 months. I finally broke down and took it to a shop. It turned out to be the fuel pump. I didn't believe the mechanic at first because it only made the noise when the truck was rolling at around 15mph or above. But the mechanic at the garage said there would be no charge if the replacement didn't eliminate the whine. I was thinking sweet a free new fuel pump... Well, make a long story short, I now have a lighter wallet, a new fuel, pump and no whine.

So tell me if I'm right, fuel injected has two pumps, a boost pump in the tank, and the normal High pressure pump.
Couldn't tell you about the 2 pumps. I have an P.O.S. Holley projection system on my '84. It comes with its own fuel pump. All I know about it is that it is shiny, (especially when you clean the mud off of it) and it says Holley on it.
Don't like the system much at all, but it does work. I'm just too busy and cheap to put a carb on it.
DIFFERENTIAL FRICTION MODIFIER & BREAK-IN ADDITIVE- is a friction modifier designed to reduce limited-slip noise and to aid the proper break-in of any differential. This can be added to any gear oil to reduce temperature during break-in and prevent gear softening. Can be used to perfectly tune a limited-slip unit.
