Rides a little rougher. Partly because of higher tire pressures at 39 - 40. Put on some new Rancho shocks that helped a little bit. With the 3" blocks, it hyper-extended the factory shocks where they seemed not to work too well. Lost about 1 MPG because of them as well.
I agree....I think the rougher ride comes from the bigger tire Load range E ....my tires measured something like 34.4" tall on my stock 18" wheels......and like I said I will eventually swap out the shocks to bilsteins..... I think you will be pleased...
I wish you hadn't posted that picture. I wanted the crew cab with the 6.5' bed, but unfortunately the situation didn't offer me the time to be picky. Love the look of your truck. I have the eibach leveling kit. Stiffened things up in the rear and it no longer squats so easily. I have the AS 3" block as well. Pretty sure it ended up about 5/8"-3/4" higher in the rear.
Thanks, good to know. I’d rather do the blocks and keep a smoother ride, vs the add-a-leaf.
My understanding is that the add-a-leaf doesn't come into play until the stock springs are compressed to the point where it contacts the additional support of the leaf. Maybe that's not so?
