So I got my van, got it home, and am cleaning it up. Front and rear bumpers are trashed. Does anyone know how close the frames are to the F-series? My E-250 is an 04, and I'm going to look at a F-250 Superduty front bumper in the morning, 2008 I think.
Bumpers tend to not be compatible between F-Series & E-Series due the difference in frames. I'd wander the scrap yards or look for local aftermarket sellers---should be plenty of those available. Online is an option but shipping could be costly unless you find the "free shipping" seller.

I could get decent chrome bumpers at the yard for cheap enough. But I like how that SuperDuty bumper looks, would love to mount it up, especially for 60 bucks.
I've got to do a bunch of sheetmetal repair this summer. Steps in both front doors and the slider are all rotten, gonna clean out the rot, reinforce and rebuild with square tube and steel plate, seal it all back up. Van is mechanically solid, majority of body is solid, no reason not to clean it up and keep it around for years for a good service truck.

But it doesn't fit.
Frame width is different, body contour is different.
The time and materials investment in the fab work would seem to make this project a non-starter since exact bolt-on replacements are available new and as you say at salvage near you "for cheap enough".
But knock yourself out, and post pictures of your results.
