I've never owned a truck before. I bought this one today though. Seemed like a good idea. 39,500 on the clock. Everything seems to work ok so far. Needs tires. Any suggestions of things I might need to check out or do are very appreciated.
Sweet looking truck! If it were me, I’d change all fluids (oil, transmission and differential). Replace trans filters as well. I run Michelin LTX M/S on my dually as I don’t go off-road and do lots of highway driving. Tires are nice and quiet! Check front pads when you’re doing the tires.
I would stop posting in the 99-16 forum and exclusively post in the 7.3 forum since you have a diesel. You'll get way better and more frequent advice over there.
Otherwise, great looking truck. Changing all the fluids was a great suggestion. Being a diesel, I'd swap the fuel filter ASAP as well. Hutch and Harpoon mods, google them. Head over to the 7.3 forum and start reading, tons of great advice for beginners and experienced folks alike
Are you ****ting me? Less than 40,000 miles? That's a heck of a find. Quite a big step going for your first truck as an F-350 dually. Did you purchase it to tow something?
Thanks!!! Yes, definitely planning to do fluids. Probably a brake fluid flush as well when checking out brakes. I usually do it on my cars every few years. Thanks for the reco on tires. No plans for anything off road, so noise, treadwear, highway mileage, etc. will be my concerns.
Thanks!! It has a Banks turbo kit, but I'm not sure what power/torque increase that may come with. I just know it's clean, with 39,500 miles, and will pull a race trailer just fine.

Noted. I'll check out the 7.3 forum, thanks. I'll add the fuel filter to my list. I hadn't thought of that one. Thank you!

S**t you not, sir! Hahaha! Thanks! I'm mostly into sports cars and racing etc. I'll be hauling my own toys around and helping out friends on occasion. I also picked up a 26ft enclosed trailer that needs some work to get back on the road. I have a Porsche that I race in ChampCar Endurance Series with some friends. So I'll be pulling that too.
