This one has me scratching my head a little bit.
Kids truck, usually only when not up to temp, will chug a little when going into reverse.
It's only for a few seconds then clears up. Won't do it every time however and just until up to operating temp.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
FWIW, that injector was the one that was replaced when I bought the truck, and it is not an OEM reman.
Well. The engine twists the opposite direction in reverse. So perhaps there is an electrical glitch that occurs when the twist happens. Motor mounts good?
I did have those thoughts about chaffing, thanks for the confirmation of checking that.
I have a hunch it only happens cold because it seems there is a bit more "oomph" when shifting into gear cold.
Anyone else noticed this on their 6.0? Right after starting for the first time of the day, the engine seems like it pounces just a little bit shifting into gear, almost like it adds a little fuel for just a split second.
It's not really anything you can feel jerking, but it's there.
I've noticed this on a few other 6.0's
Those wiring issues were more prevalent on the 03 and 04 motors. What is the model year?

Something else to investigate another day. Spent the afternoon tearing apart the 98 Lesabre dash/hush panel to replace the ignition starter switch, nicely tucked up on the steering column that required it be dropped. At least she starts now!
