I want to install a front hitch. I like where the torque lift hitches are installed up and in between the tow hooks. Has anyone installed this on their truck? On the website, it states for gas trucks, how different is the front end on a diesel? Thanks fid any input
The diesel has a cooler (I believe it's trans) that is in the way for the Torklift hitch. I tried to install one on an F350 DRW 6.7.
This is correct. I was unable to install the TorkLift receiver on my truck that has the 6.7L. No way it was going to go in place with the cooler and cooler hoses that are between the frame rails. I'm hoping that TorkLift comes out with a revised receiver for the 6.7L. Their receiver had the best specs that I've seen so far.
I was sent one by them to install and give feed back. As others have stated the cooler for the diesel is in that position and will not allow the hitch to be installed. In addition, I tried the hitch on an early 2017 and a late 2018. The distance between the frame was different. Even without the cooler the hitch would not fit the early 2017.
I have the hitch sitting in my garage if anyone wants it.....

I passed mine on to someone with a 2019 6.2L a few weeks ago.
I have a 2017 and might be interested in the one you have. My truck is a 2017 F350 XLT CCSB with the 6.2 gas engine. I am in Casper.
I live in Cody and work in Green River. It is yours if you want it. You need to measure the distance between your frame rails to make sure it will fit, needs to be 29 7/8" or more for it to fit. I"ll post a pic here shortly... Then, we can get it to you the cheapest way.....
How much easier is a front hitch? I need to back a 24ft trailer in a very tight driveway. Does it really make it easier?

Yes, it makes it incredibly easy to position a trailer. Its like threading a needle. Plus the visibility is so much better. Just be sure to get a ball mount with a long shank so you have more swing room.
