Just wondering if anyone else has problems with their lift brackets for the twin traction beam setup shifting around a bit. It's not the big one I'm having trouble with as it has a bunch of bolts in it. It's the skinny one that only has three bolts. I believe it's on the drivers side???? Cant quite remember off the top of my head.
I believe you are talking about the drop bracket toward the rear of the Bronco. I believe it locates the right passenger side TTB arm.
All lift kits kits are not created equally. I remember installing a pro comp kit on my first full-size Bronco, a 1992. I remember the pro comp drop brackets taking me about 4-6 hours each to install. They required drilling out existing rivets and adding reinforced plates. I believe the rear drop bracket was something around 10 bolts to install and was heavy gauge steal. It was a robust setup and is still on the truck 10 years later and has been through multiple heavy wheeling trips up here in Vancouver area.
After all that that work I remember checking out other lifts and seeing a 3 bolt drop bracket and thinking that would have been way easier to install. I think super lift had the 3 bolt rear drop bracket if I recall.
Check out procomp drop brackets and you will only regret will be you didn’t use them in the first place.
