Looking at the 2019 Limited with the high output engine but I am having trouble getting past the Camelback unique leather trimmed bucket seats....... I don't like them and apparently there is no other option?
Yeah, that interior is quite odd. And that's the only trim level where the HO EcoBoost. You could always get a platinum or other trim level and then run premium with a tuner and you'd end up with the same or better output, although it could harm your warranty.
Had to google it but no "DINK" here. Kids all paid for. More of "DONN"...Don't Owe Nobody Nothing, much less an explanation. Happy New Year.
Respectfully, I wasn't specifically calling you a DINK. The Limiteds just have no capacity and the 22's just make it worse. Not really a truck, but a ride.
I'm happy with my 18 Limited. Towing capacity of 12,700 LBS. Putting the HO engine from the Raptor is a big drawback IMO. I feel it should have its exclusiveness in the Raptor, makes it a much more unique truck.
I went with Platinum white so the blue interior isn't so bad, I kind of like the blue as its different and unique.
Apologies exchanged unnecessarily but thanks Smokewagun. I am older now and don't need a Superduty anymore to haul heavy stuff except a little firewood and my surf rods.
I agree the Limited is too pimped out for my particular taste but I wanted the high output powerplant and the Limited is only way to get it without buying a Raptor.......my wife says a Raptor is not "age appropriate" and she likes the electric/hydraulic drop down steps in our Platinum.
One of my son in laws suggested the same thing as seventyseven250 and I am considering it..
Even the "regular" 3.5L EcoBoost in sport mode is surprisingly fast if you stomp on it. If I was in your situation, I'd get myself a lower trim level with the interior and options that suited me, drive that for a few months and see how I felt about it. After a while, if I wanted more excitement, there's quite a few reputable tuners out there. Best of all is to find a local dyno shop that can tune to local conditions, altitude etc. Money is the only obstacle, as people have done some amazing things with these engines. Good luck and report back on what path you take. It's always great to hear how people approach different use cases.

I understand the appeal of the HO engine, but for towing in the range the F-150 is designed for, I think you really don't need more than the regular EcoBoost. It is a very strong engine. Stump-pulling power at relatively low RPM; not unlike a diesel in pulling power.

I don't think pulling is is concern. He's looking for fun if I am reading between the lines correctly.
I have seen some in the mid $90K range, so we are darn close. Get a gold-plated steering wheel in there somewhere, and we gotta be tripping over a 6-figure MSRP.
