We got the flag pole set, We set up and installed all the computers and printers and got them working and on the network. Worked on inventory. Hung signs around the showroom.
Busy week next week. By Wednesday the perimeter fencing should be done, and the exterior lighting should be done. We can start getting outside equipment when those are done.
Stihl is coming on Monday/ Tuesday to install the inside displays and then we can finish setting up the showroom.
Plan is to open the doors 2 weeks from today.
Relooked at my taxes this morning. Only getting one child credit because the daughter is now over 18. If it wasn't for that I would have gotten a pretty good return. Time to adjust the W4 at work.
I am not going home for lunch.since it will be just me running the service department and they won't hire me a service writer until we get busy. My wife said her and little man might come by for lunch since they go into town and visit grandma once or twice a week. Looks like snow is in the forecast for Tuesday, I hope it doesn't slow things down.
I had to put back brakes and rotors on the Suburban yesterday. One of the slide pins got stuck and it cocked the pad and ate into the rotor. My daughter has talked her fiance into financing her a car so it looks like I might get the Suburban back. My wife thinks I should let her sell it or trade it towards another car. They aren't going to give her squat for it on trade in. She may get close to what it's worth if she sells it outright.
Tomorrow we will be 60 days away from our vacation!! It is also the day our window opens so I can make our fastpass selections.
Just because youare running the service department does not mean don't take lunch or breaks. I think the ground is too warm for snow to stick if it snows. I plan on going out to land Friday and string the property lines ,butbthe rain chance keeps shifting. Hope we can get the first grading done next week.
I would let the daughter make up mind on the Suburban if she want to sell it let HER sell it or let her find out the reality of trade in. If she want you to sell it for her give charge her a 20% sellers fee. You need to start making her responsible for things she wants. How many vehicles have you given her only to have her turn around and give them back. (A little tough love).
So have you got you Mickey count down clock out yet. You dont seem as excited to see Mickey as you did last year.
I am just as excited as I was then, Kinda in a low period right now. Got the dining stuff taken care of, can't do fast passes till tomorrow and then it's just pack and go after that.
I cleaned up the interior of the dodge and the Hummer today, along with a bunch of other small stuff around the house. The batteries were low in the motorhome so I plugged it in and letting the built in charger take care of that. Pulled the scooter out of the basement and detailed it , let it run for a little bit and then put it away.
Fastpass day !!
The wife wants to sleep in a little bit and head to the park a little later so we can see Pandora at night. It makes planning a little easier when she tells me what she wants to do. Looks like up to 2 inches of snow for us starting early tomorrow morning.
The room is almost done. tonight paint. Then tomorrow Ill pick the next room. Luckily the other rooms 1. have texture, I just need to fix some cracks and blend in texture 2. just need the walls scraped.
The bathrooms I do want to do new vanities and tile, but that could be the last thing I do.
hardwood floors will be the last for sure, since im using the carpet as my drop cloth hahaha.
The funny thing is, that my knockdown wall attempt, looks decent, but doenst look as good as my spatter ceiling I did. Luckily this room is not adjacent to another room that has perfect mexican laid knockdown. Oh well.
im now also deciding what crown mouldings to do. Base mouldings will be done after the hardwood gets here, and Ill probably match stain those.
Looks like the snow is not going to everything they thought it was going to be, which is just fine with me!! I talked the boss into letting me and the parts manager into letting us come to the new store today because of the weather. Stihl is coming to install the front displays and the parts counter today so half decent weather is a plus. The fence people laid out the stakes for the fence yesterday and it is supposed to be totally completed by Friday. We should start receiving equipment late next week.
Jacob have fun with the upgrades. Our last house was a fixer upper and I am still burnt out on doing home remodel projects.
