It’s a very substantial improvement. It’s not easy to quantify. I’d say the lighting power is every bit as good as anything I’ve driven. I still don’t love the pattern. I may play with mine a little more.
Mine are the ones with fans... I added the in line resistors.. plug and play..... 6.2L... washer filler tube off on driver side...I loosened and peeled back wheel well liner and went up from bottom on passenger side.... 3 5" front/ 1" rear..level lift, I just adjusted the housings all the way down, nobody flashes me
Relatively easy install depending on which engine you have. I've done it a couple ways with a 6.2. Did it twice because I tried a set of Sylvania halogens first. Wasn't happy with that result.
Removed the whole grille the first time. Removed just the filler neck on the washer tank to access the driver side the second time. Second time was obviously easier and faster. Passenger side wasn't much of a problem without removing anything. Maybe a diesel owner could check in and let you know how they go as I know they have 2 batteries.
They do seem to require some effort to twist and pull out. Make sure you have the LED chips oriented to the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions for correct beam placement. Make sure that the factory seals come off and aren't stuck to the headlight housing. You're not getting a new bulb in there with 2 seals.
