Carli- rear spring pack needed?

Looking at the Carli Commuter vs. leveling kit with Fox shocks and an option is the rear spring pack. My CCLB has the high capacity trailer tow so I think it sits a little higher in the rear. Are the rear packs needed to still have at least a slight rake? My truck isn’t going to be off-road very much, if any, and I am just looking for a solid leveling kit w out regrets or 4-5k+. I have seen many mentions of Carli but not a lot of specifics of what came with the kit. Any input would be appreciated.

I've got their pintop level with radius arms and full Deavers. It brings the rear up about 1.5" to maintain the factory rake, which I think looks awesome since its not that typical squatty rear end look. Also increases travel and articulation for offroading. Its a far smoother ride and it handles amazing now, stock is very stiff and ridged. I didn't notice much capacity loss but only have a 25' toyhauler with 900lb tongue. Wasn't cheap but totally worth it IMO. I had a BDS/Fox coilover on my recent F150 but without Deavers which I vowed to run them next time and glad that I did. Good suspension is just worth it to some folks and those that have seen the light will gladly pay for it. You'll be fine with the commuter but if you do get Deavers have them put lithium grease in between the leaves so they don't squeak

from what i've read the add a leaf pack (only eliminates the OEM overload leaf) you end with around 1/2" of lift (carli website). The high capacity trailer tow doesn't lift the truck, it just has the rear sway bar and the extra overload leaf on top of the entire leaf pack. Carli recommends you ditch the sway bar and extra overload leaf (on top of removing the OEM overload obviously). Their add a leaf pack will sag sooner but capacity is not reduced whereas the full deaver leaf pack reduces the capacity.

funny you should mention the sqautty rear look. im seeing those type of trucks almost daily. ford ,dodge and chevy. for the life of me i cant figure out if people actually like that awful look or if they simply just dont care as long as the bigger tires dont rub

Thanks for all the replies. I didn’t even realize there was a rear block, just assumed the height was built into the spring like what Carli does. I’ve been on the fence with Carli vs. Icon and all the options but FTE definitely makes it easier.

both companies do their fair share of R&D...doubt either will disappoint.

I think they actually like it... believe it stems from baja trucks out West, hence the term "Cali lean". Me personally, not a fan for a truck that obviously isn't racing baja events. The truck version of their pants hanging down...another silly look from CA.... ?
