The problem with those sales charts is that they're complete BS. Lexus and BMW both made nearly 30k sales in NOV in the US, and Tesla has a habbit of counting "sales" rather than cars actually produced or delivered.
Fortunately for Tesla, anything they produce will be gobbled up by mindless fanatics like the next version of iBologna. Building hype is one thing they've done exceptionally well.
I have no practical use for a vehicle that can't haul firewood, tow a trailer, or move lumber, so no rebate or free fuel for me, just higher taxes to support someone else's science-fiction hobby.
I'm a Pick up guy. No interest in cars at all. But I will be honest, the Tesla's are a marvel for a mass production EV. So much better than the alternatives from other mass production cars. They look great, they have good mileage, they are full of tech, and Elon is doing a good job at charging stations.
I still feel that "Iceing" the tesla stations is the same as the Gasser's blocking the diesel pumps, when there is 10 open gas pumps.
To each their own, I prefer my F-150 and have no desire to own a Tesla. My only gripe, and this is my local area, is that it seems like all the Tesla, and other electric vehicle charging stations, they take up all the parking in front of places, and sometimes even get better parking than the handicapped spots! But again, that's just my area...
Your area is not the only place, they do the same in Arizona. That's probably another reason the boys down south are doing that.
