Hello:
I am about to replace the door seal around the driver's slde door opening on my F100. I replaced the window run seal a few years ago without to much trouble. This door seal replacement looks like it should be easier because I will not have to remove the door panels, just tear out the old seal and replace....it looks that way anyway. These little jobs always turn out to have some issues that are not apparent to someone like me.
So....does anyone have any advice about replacing the door seal? I plan on buying the rubbber strip on ebay for about 20 dollars less that it costs other places, I can't help but wonder why it is so much less there. Could it be it will not fit so nicely and will require more work to make it go in and stay? Sort of like one size fits many?
What adhesive can anyone recommend?
Please let me have any advice you can give. I appreciate it.
Never done one of these trucks, but can tell you wintertime and colder temps makes it much more difficult to get the seal in place and to get the door to shut properly.
