Epic's Door Seal Modification?

I've had Epic's door seal modification now for about 2 1/2 years. I've noticed that the tubing has shrunk a little bit near the seams. Is there a time frame before the tubing needs to be replaced? If the tubing starts to get brittle or crumble it could be a pain in the butt to get out of the weather stripping. I was just wondering if we need to replace it every so often? Any thoughts on this?

I think the latex tubing is of similar material to the weather stripping, and it would stand to reason that it would degrade some over time. But I would imagine that by the time it got brittle it would be time to replace the whole door seal anyway.

I agree with Tom. That and getting the old tube out would be nearly impossible

I was just wondering. The door seal modification is a GREAT addition to my truck and it did eliminate some door noises.
