Heated rear seats...

When I built Lariat, and opted for the leather bench vs the buckets, as soon as I checked ‘Heated Rear Seats’ it kicked out the Ultimate Package and would not let me have that option. Is it a completely different seat or is it a wiring harness? Has anyone looked to see if it’s just the wires not hooked up or something else...
thanks...

Not sure you can get bench with the Ultimate package? Ford brochure for Lariat lists the heated rear seats with a footnote "Restrictions may apply, see dealer"

The switches for the heated rear seats are on the rear of the center console. I think that's why it forced you into the Lariat Ultimate pkg, for the console. If you wanted to keep the front bench seat and still have heated rear, you may need to go aftermarket to put in the heater pads and wiring.

I presume by your interest in heated rear seats, you live where it's cold. The Ultimate pkg does get you a heated steering wheel too, which might be of interest.

I have the Lariat, front bench and Ultimate. I wanted rear seat heat but it’s a no go. Wiring harness and button location when no front center console. 2017’s you also couldn’t get bliss with front bench.

If you are going PSD be sure to add the block heater and get supplemental heat.

Yup, those were on the build list.

It might be because the heated rear seats are included in the Lariat ultimate package. I found this in the order guide at the top of page 19

Rear-Seats
Heated Seats (req. 40/Console/40 front-seat; req. 96L Lariat Interior Pkg. or 96U Lariat Ultimate Pkg.)

I have a loaded 2018 Lariat Ultimate with a bench seat. Only thing missing and is not on the config is the heated rear seats, In our case the bench was more important.

We have a 2019 F350 Lariat With the optional Ultimate Package. The heated rear seats were a separate extra cost option.

HTH,
Jim / crewzer
I just "built" a F250 PSD on Ford.com and if you pick a Lariat Ultimate with the front bench and then you try to add the stand alone "heated rear seats" then here is what you get (copy and paste from ford.com):

"Adding:
Heated Rear Seats also requires the following changes
AddPremium Leather-Trimmed Front Seats

RemoveFront Premium Leather-trimmed 40/20/40 Split Bench Seats"

You have to remove the front bench to get rear seat heat. Nothing has changed since 2017 for this feature.

Jim, my guess is you have the front center console on your 2019. (awesome truck by the way!).
