Electric fuel pump

Thinking about adding an in line fuel pump to replace the in tank pump that is going bad. Do I need to pull the old pump from tank or just disconnect power?

Most likely no, in-tank pumps have a set pressure for year and engine, unless you have the two pump setup, then you might get by with that, as it would only feed the high pressure pump.

dont know tried to use an electric pump to defuel the tank on a dodge van and the oem pump would not let flow thru. Just may have to experiment, but the intank pump is actually easy to R&R.
