are these side markers supposed to blink like turn indicators?
btw i was fixing blinker issues in the front and every time it was the socket. i could get the bulb positioned where it would blink but if i let it go or moved it or breathed on it it would stop. so looking through my box of junk 1157s i saw a couple that looked absolutely horrible....but it was dielectric grease slathered on.
so i tried em out and they work really good!!!!
Those markers in the fenders do not blink from the factory. Here in Va, the key to a good inspection is finding the right place to get it done. By good, I mean someone who doesn't nit-pick. Around here a large franchise in a big city is usually not a good place to get an inspection. You need a small local guy out in the country. And even then, it takes a few tries to find a good place.
thanks guys every year i always say its gonna be the last but im gonna try for another year. also my insurance company told me something crazy about having an old vehicle helps with the teenagers rates even if they dont drive it.....idk.....
If the inspector balks, the wiring diagram is here. See page 41. The single filament lights on the side of the fenders are labeled RH (LH) Side Front Marker:
i tried....really
first the part that was broken that the screws attach to was broken plastic in pieces....
so i looked online and people want like a hundred bucks for horn pads...with the same brittle plastic
next i went to the junk yard and they told me if i wanted any part of a steering column that i had to buy the whole steering column. and i respect that....so oh well
and i dont do the "meets state requirements add on horn button".....
