I was driving down the road and the engine died. I had a trailer on the back so it was a little scary especially since I was going down hill. I found that the #30 fuse was blown.....after a little research I unhooked the fuel bowl heater electrical connector and put in a new fuse.....when i went to try to start it again without it reconnected.....it blew again......any thoughts guys?
There's the rest of what's on that fuse...gotta be a short somewhere...could also try looking at the 42 pin connector on the drivers side VC for any signs of chaffing...
I just wanted to thank you all for the help from a couple of weeks ago.....I am replying to let everyone know who is interested that I got it fixed by changing the coil on the fuel bowl heater coil. Now I have another problem.....

Well......kind of embarrassing, but my truck wouldn't start for the second time in two weeks and had to have it towed both times. Both times was away from home, so.....gotta do what you gotta do. Who wants to troubleshoot in the cold and evening away. Anyway, yesterday the truck wouldn't start....I found that one of the wires leading to the starter solenoid broke(the big positive wire). I replaced the connector since that is where it broke....nothing, still the same result just clicking in the dash and at the solenoid....no start. Had it towed and today my son and I messed with it and we found that the starter was bad after a couple of YouTube videos and had it bench tested. I think I'm upgrading my AAA....lol. I was going to chime into the forum, but didn't get to it before starting the diagnosis...…..Great forum...….I've been helped many times......thanks to all.
