Theft light PATS?

To avoid two running threads could some Excursion friends visit my fast blinking theft light in the 7.3 forum please

If you notice, in your video the theft light flashes a 16 code. All the references that I see for this define it as "Faulty link between PATS module and PCM". So since there is no "PATS module" for these, I would guess that either the PCM is borked, bad PCB on cluster, failed transceiver, or bad wiring somewhere.
And since your scanner or code reader does not connect, it sounds like it is the PCM. Check the wiring and fuses that run it.

Dang it, he was trying to avoid two threads. And yes, an 01 Excursion has a PATS module.

If I recall mine was to the right of the go pedal. Early chip & tunes I had ages ago instructed unplugging the green connector from the PATS.

You need to pull the cover off the steering column and look look at the PATS transducer ring. What does the head of your key look like? I have a test method depending on the head of the key. Some have a removable RFID capsule. Post a picture and I will explain.
