Looks like my dad is in deep '57 F100 land... The carburetor on this 292 V8 has seen many a grain of Arazona sand and after the last backfire it needs to be retired. Is there a good way to go to fix all of this.. Thought there was an Offenhauser four barrel manifold for this engine but can't find it easly. Any one had this experence? A small 0-8007 4bbl Holly would be the right size unit. Ya we fixed the ill place firing order plug wire... Lets see A 1 and A 2 and then BOOM..
I have seen several Y-block 4bbl intakes on ebay in the last few weeks. They go between $60-125 without carb. Search ebay motors: ford y-block, and be patient. A Ford certified rebuilt 4bbl will usually sell for $85-150. Good Luck!!
There's two types of Ford iron intakes. The later type fits Holley carbs. ECZ-B? It's a '-B' for sure. I'm too lazy to go look at the manifold on my garage floor. The '-A' has a different bolt pattern.
There's an aluminum 4v intake that costs ~$350 for a fairly complete kit.
