Just a suggestion, but most of my wiring problems have been traced down to a bad ground. You might want to check the grounds at the rear lights that attaches to the body behind the rear lenses, they are prone to becoming corroded.Good luck
-Try another blinker relay, I had the same problem, and changed out the relay for a heavy duty / towing unit, and it solved the problem for me.
-I also had the problem with the ground at the rear lights. Mine had rusted out around the screw and was not grounded at all.
-You might want to check the wiring around the rear of the truck too. If someone had spliced into the wiring harness at one point in time, and did a shabby job, your wires may be all green and corroded, causing bad conductivity.
Do the emergency flashers have a weak blink too? Those have a different flasher relay. If they are weak too, then check the grounds, one at each corner.
Gene,
Did you ever get around to checking all the grounds and such? And the feed wires too, you might have a short in one of them, or soon to be a short, I mean. I would at least pull the turn signal flasher wires and check them, especially if it's all four corners.

Yep, that's what it needed, a nice cleaning-up of the connections.
I took all of the fuses out of the fuse box, scrubbed the connections and coated them with dialectric grease, reinstalled. I did the same to the plugs for the flasher/emergency relays and voila, working turnsignals. Thanks!
Turn signal switch, Gene. That would be my guess as it's the last thing you haven't checked yet. And make sure the plud is connected properly (the one above the column). Check the wires and ends that are in the plug. They've been known to break inside
I am having similar difficulties in my turn signals as well. My front blinkers dont come on at all so I replaced the bulbs and still nothing. My running lights in the front dont work either buit they do on the sides and the rear. When I click the blinker the light comes on in the rear but thet do not blink. Any help? It is a 78 F-150.
