windshield wipers

Hey guys,

For a while now my wipers have pretty much been sticking to my windshield. when they go to wipe its not a smooth action as it skips accross the glass. I have tried new ones with the same issue. Also i cleaned the blade and windshield multiple times without any luck.

Has anyone else run into this issue and possibly found a fix for it?

nextzett 92100815 Kristall Klar Washer Fluid 1:200 Concentrate - 8.5 fl. oz

Usually, I do not write reviews; however, I read them!, before I buy something, so thanks to these people who find the time to write and post them (I guess shame on me..;/). I have decided to write this review,. I have tried most of the einszett's cosmetics in my Audi TT, including their winter washer fluid. I love everything about it: how it cleans, how it smells, but most of all it is safe for the environment (special biodegradable formula), protecting your paint at the same time. Of course, there are many less expensive options out there, but if you are one of these persons who cares (about your car and the environment), for this price you will get a high quality German product, that currently any washer fluid cannot compete with. Someone might say that the price is pretty steep for a 3 liters (gallon= 3.78 L) of washer fluid that this bottle of concentrate can make, and I can somehow relate to that. But if you really feel skeptical about it, give it a shot as I did- I diluted and used it at first as a window/windshield cleaner (even around the house, particularly in winter) and I loved it how it cleaned (I still continue my habit even in summer- do the math for any window/windshield cleaner out there). Since then I have regretted only one thing- why I have not discovered this product sooner and fed my car (and the environment) with some toxic shajt.
This is my 5 cents regarding the product.

I mix my own..depends on how cold it getsThey make a frost free as well

I get the fluid from our shop which they use the napa brand -20 fluid. I have run this in multiple vehicles including personal and work trucks with out any issues and also ran the same brand wipers with my old truck. Not saying its not the fluid but I never had these issues before with it

Uhhhhh. Most Ford Dealers in my area are questionable as to skill levels..There are a few that are skilled in F250/350 and up.. So I asked BuBa ...........what fluid are you topping off in my S/D .."Oh Dude" we just add water if there is fluid already in the tank"

Mix my own ..takes a FEW Minutes..get correct strength

I just put PIAA Super Silicone---on mine day one. Tried other PIAA types and these work better on my trucks. Have tried Bosch, Latitude and Rain-X over the years.

Bugs do not stick nearly as much from my long highway drives to the ranch and back. Not cheap but I do not care it is performance only.

Cheap fix is to buy the Rain-X concentrate and add to your washer fluid. No more squeaking or chattering.

Understood.

NAPA is a great product source....

There are two types of Ford Dealers in my area..those that sell 150's and those that understand/sell/ service large platform trucks... You will soon learn who is who on service here

Use a straight edge to check the wiper arm for straightness. A bent wiper arm will cause the blade to skip across the glass.

Factory wipers did the same thing on my truck. Bosh Icon wipers solved that problem. Ford wipers are junk

For those who don't know, these may be free as part of your premium maintenance plan. When I asked the "Quick Lane" where I get my truck serviced, they said they could replace them every 6 months or so--I just needed to ask and they swapped them out. May be worth asking if you have a PMP.

They are included in the maintenance plan, if they are streaking, bumping off the windshield and such even though you have spcleaned the wiper blade and windshield they will replace every service if they have too. I am on my 4th set of blades at 42,000 km. Doesn’t matter how well I clean, it gets streaky, and visibility sucks. It’s a safety issue, so it’s pretty important to m, and that’s how I explain it.
