I have a 1994 Ford 150 XLT with a E40D tranny,a 5L motor,and 3.08 ratio in the rear, future add-ons: Dual Exhaust/Headers, K& N Air Filter, need to know the best Chip upgrade (Superchip or Diablo) for Maximum increase in horsepower. Should the Cam also be in the upgrade?

dont waste your money o a chip go to a wrecker and get either 3.55 or 4.11 gears you will really feel the low end power

 

Go with the 4.11's. Mine has the 3.55's and they ain't worth a crap behind 5.0 My kids go-cart has better low end power.

Thanks for info , will have to replace the whole axle assy. mine is a OPEN and not a LS unit :-(

 

No need to replace the whole rear end. My 95 F150 came with an open diff, and 3.31 gears. I had 3.73s and a TracLock installed. Should have gone with the 4.10s though.
