I was thinking about your hat yesterday while working in the basement a bit. I thought what I would feel like if someone had stolen a specific hat of mine that I have worn in several theaters of war and traveled around the world with it several times. I wear a hat as part of my anatomy really, so I understand your feeling of being lost without it.

I have the Jimmy Jammers and Ravelco. If they do get in then it is guaranteed it wont go anywhere. Thieves have already busted out the door locks but haven't gotten
in.. If they had it would have had the key busted out but would have still been sitting in the same spot probably with dead batteries because the key would
have been on..

this is, or was, a damn fine looking hat for sure. sorry for your loss. and it was stolen from your work parking lot. guess the thiefs have a new way and a new place to steal stuff.. better to reason to drive a fricken ole 4 door beater to work and leave the nice stuff home in garage under lock and key.

I wonder if there have been other thief's from the parking lot recently.. thieves rings will target areas which a lot of stuff and with the shift change lots of folks coming and going. maybe the plant need to get a gate and parking pass tag to get in. ??

I was reading about the Ravelco system and was wondering if the same sorta thing can be done with a hidden switch to interrupt power to fuel pump as well.. The Ravelco system looks like a nice one and at 700 bucks a bit pricey.

Camera showed an SUV in parking lot that moved around a few times. Like they were getting better view.
security was looking at footage when I left work yesterday.
There turning it over to dps .
It was at shift change when about 200 cars were coming and going.
They got it about 15 minutes after our shift started.
And ivI' been married about 26 years now.
So I can't remember what a panty dropper is anymore .lol
But thank u it was a nice old hat.
Wife went and bought me a new grey stetson .
but it will take a while for it to feel right.

Just a simple "look at the employee badge" would stop almost all of the theft.. Even if the company claims they are not liable, if enough vehicles get stolen
I bet they could be held somewhat liable for doing nothing to prevent known theft issues that are happening right in front of them.

Yea Ravelco is pricy, but kills 3 different systems and is in the harness. I didnt pay anywhere close to $700 for mine, pretty sure less than half of that. All the wires are
black and armored. A switch would work too if you could hide it well enough I guess, if the thieves know Ravelco the would pass any vehicle with it.

Mom is watching me take a pic of junior.
Ouch, I'm sorry to hear this! This is one reason why the wife and I camp and live waaaaay out in the woods for over 40 years.Low lifes are too lazy to make there way out by us. Wild life don't rape and covet bling.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I've had a car broken into before, they stole some tools but not the car itself. You feel violated and furious when something like this happens.

Best of luck going forward. It's fortunate that you got what 'goods' you did out before the truck was stolen. Take comfort of them not getting that too.
