Nice work Tig. Like I mentioned earlier, keep me in mind if you go that route on a public basis and we may be able to work a deal.

Folder looks interesting. I wonder if that would become a trap for dirt during regular use and carry or something fairly easy to keep clean. Got any more pics of the folder?

If you start selling, pm me. I might be interested in something like that. (can't sell in the open forum unless you're a sponsor I believe)

The folder and sheath knife handles or brown micarta.
a hard resin with gotten fiber woven inside.
My friend told he could carry a knife of his choice into battle. But wanted something that would Pierce a helmet and skull .
I told him I'd design and build it but didn't care to know how he had to use it.
Only be proud to know if it had a hand in saving him someday .
The knives I've made were from 1095 spring steel . it's old flat springs about 4 feet long 1/8" thick .
We threw the old ones away on my last job.
I'd collect them and bring them home.
Then normalize them then temper the cutting edge.
They have enough flex in blade not to break. But temper holds sharp edge.

I've actually made my own micarta at home with staggered layers of green and tan cotton material . Compressed into Marine grade resin . I made pins from 1/4" stainless tube with brass rods epoxy inside

F350.
i carry it in a horizontal belt sheath. I hav a few small brushes . Brass . Stainless . Plastic bristle .
Easy enough to Clean spine without scratching .
And I have polishing wheels on a bench grinder with polishing paste that does a great job .
I'll have to take a few pics of folder and post them.

O. T. Sorry about that.
truck is supposed to be towed tomorrow to a local paint and body shop. I'm going there in the morning to talk with about truck and what I saw that was broken or damaged.
also meeting with local law enforcement at repair shop to give them stuff I found in truck . And so they can go over what was stolen.
Worst of all the only truck rental place had was a dodge .
I'll catch h#ll next week at work . After all the crap I've talked to them . It's a brand new 4 door 1/2 ton. And have to say it's a world of difference from my truck.
