they always go. I fixed mine. What happens is there is a spring-steel part that cracks in two and then it won't lock the tongue.
You can separate the receiver parts and make a new spring steel part. It was not easy but It had to be done.

there is no source. Head to the yard. You need a T50 Torx bit and a large ratchet to unscrew that bolt..
You also need a knife to slide under the plastic T50 plastic cover, they are a pain to remove.
If you see a Tan one, pull it for me.
