Those do not appear to be related to DEF flush and refill.

P0402 – Excessive EGR Flow
P2073 – Manifold Absolute Pressure/Mass Air Flow - Throttle Position Correlation at Idle

My Truck is a Lariat F350 6.7 2011.
Check engine light came on after a blow out. and I went off road, got it back on road, with out wrecking .
Engine light came on !
Underneath def tank had been pushed up and gasket of def popped out. on the bottom of plastic tank. and I saw def fluid running out. gasket on bottom around the part that heat element canister sets in middle of def tank the round circle lower than tank,. My terminology !!
Def Tank was dropped to put lower gasket back , and while they did it, they replaced rubber gasket around heater element
in 2012 the Nox Sensor was replaced and check engine light reset.
So after blow out light came on again. as all def fluid was lost.
Put spare on and drove it to shop.
was in shop a few weeks.
Picked up truck they claimed they flushed tank , but next day found out 17 quarts of def fluid I had put in. Dealer ship did not refill def tank.
What do you think caused this ?

In 2012 the Nox Sensor was replaced and check engine light reset. THIS WAS A FACTORY DEFECT BACK THEN.

Are the error messages P0402 AND P2073 related to the injector of the exhaust def system being possibly clogged , GUMMED UP ?
If so, I am deleting the def system. only thing that has caused engine light to stay on . It has never blinked.
Nor have I gotten any def messages. ?? ODD ?
OR ANY MESSAGE IN NOTIFICATIONS. NOTHING.
ONLY " CHECK " ENGINE LIGHT IS ON ?
The exhaust reset clean comes on every now and then showing it cleaned ! As normal.

Code P0402 is triggered when the EGR temperature sensor sees more of a temperature change than the EGR has commanded to open. This is usually caused by the EGR backpressure control valve getting a burnt diaphragm from the exhaust backpressure over time or from a partly blocked catalyst.

Code P2073 is defined as a Manifold Absolute Pressure/Mass Air Flow - Throttle Position
The Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor or Manifold Air Pressure Sensor allows the engine computer (PCM) to calculate how much air is actually flowing through the engine. The PCM monitors the throttle position and compares the actual MAF reading to what the reading should be. If the actually reading varies excessively from what it should be, code P2073 is set.
Common Problems That Trigger the P2073 Code
Damaged charge air cooler assembly
Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor failure
Wiring issue

Thank you

Why were the other dates of Trucks listed ?
Mine is a 2011 f350 Power Stroke Lariat.
Thank you for the info, and could you tell me, If the truck sat for 5 yrs. then def was drained, and refilled, Not the diesel, could this have caused the issue. As I have not driven the truck much !

Thank you for the reply. I understand now.
I think I am deleting the def system. It runs horrible with it.
I get 22 miles a gallon when its messed up.
I have never seen one error message saying def fuel low , nothing even when no fluid was in it. I ran it 300 miles. and nothing. ran great !
Merry Christmas.

Something is not adding up here. 22 MPG? Also, If you run out of DEF your truck will go into limp mode, unless it's been deleted or reprogrammed.

I realize this. It happened to me in 2012, But what ever has happened. Some one must have done something. No Def. 17 quarts, next day I found dealership ;lied. Said they flushed it. then refilled it.
But What I learned today , some one unplugged on top of def fluid tank the plug. Well.I told the man today do not plug it back in. We drained the def, to see how many quarts were in it now ?
Real surprising. I had put on 300 miles, and then another 300 miles, and no DEF FLUID WAS USED. Hummm. SO , I did not put it back in. and had I had the Dpf filter knocked out. No error messages.
The throttle position is not showing message now.
So we all have learned something.
I ran my truck with engine light on for over a yr. It came on and off all the time.
Reset it , all the time would not come on from 3 hours, to a few days.
SO , 2017, some guies I know drained def tank , not much was in there. refilled it. and would find def on floor of garage 2 times.
THEN IT STOPPED. Engine light came on, and then off. Had a blow out, and it has stayed on. but

Yes that happened to me in 2012.Was towed to dealer. and then light came on, message def fluid low.
But, NEVER ANY MESSAGES HAVE POPPED UP since. Only Oil Change light message and engine light came on and stays on.
I today had Miller knock out inside of Filter on def pipe.
Drained def . and runs great.
FOUND WIRE THAT PLUGS INTO TOP OF DEF TANK WAS UNPLUGGED.
NOW MASSIVE AIRFLOW MESSAGE AND EGR TEMP SENSOR GONE.
So the punk at dealership unplugged that wire. And wire was not damaged. So he did it to make money off of me., Like 10,000 the bull **** they told me.
Will never go back.
My miles to gallon varies, from 17 miles to 22 miles a gallon, If I am in Hill Country, It runs 17 to 19 miles a gallon.
Straight highway, 19 to 22 . Before it was getting 9 miles to the gallon, and not pulling anything.
Now I know why.
