Anyone have the procedure or parts source for the emergency brake cable? I searched the tech forum but didn’t see any references. Don’t ask how i managed to snap it.
Apparently it wasn’t the 1st time either!
PO gave me all his records and found this from 6/2010. RockAuto had both parts including shipping for under $25
I had to replace mine as I live in Ohio. I bought the Intermediate cable and the right and left back cables from Auto Zone. Had to order the cable from Peddle from amazon. When I put them in the Clip that comes with the intermediate cable was much thinner that the original. When pushing the brake on, the clip broke and Had to use original, was fine after that. SO I suggest You compare the clips.

Reason: spacing

I’ll be sure to save the original clip. I didn’t plan to replace the rear R/L cables. The 1st cable snapped at the end just before the link with the 2nd cable. The 2nd cable looked like it was heavily rusted through, so I bought a replacement for it as well.
The right rear on mine was good. The left rear broke on mine. so I bought all new so they were all new as I had to change cables on a car I owned years ago and found when replacing one piece then the rest would break.
