Well just an update on my project, got the engine out and all steam cleaned off. It was a lot greaser than I thought. Gor the oil cooler reseals and put back on. High pressure oil pump all resealed and the hpop reservoir o ring changed and the oump reinstalled. All new oil rail o rings and turbo pedistal o rings along with a non ebpv pedistal and I removed the valve out of the exhaust outlet. When i inspected the bearings i found that even though their still in spec they show pretty good wear so their getting replaced befor the pan goes back on with the new gasket and dipstick adapter.

Nice! I wish I had a steam cleaner when I did my pull and refresh... We did it all by hand with buckets of gasoline and toothbrushes.

Yeah my awesome Snap-On had a broken wand from below freezing temps....good times. That was so much fun to clean all by hand, but we got it done.

Well engine is back in and running great, ive got one small leak either from the front main seal or the oil pump gasket but either of those are easy. took quite a bit of driving to get the air out of the high pressure oil system about 50 miles over a couple days all together other than that it’s done.

Did you use some silicone on the corners where the front and rear covers meet the block? I needed to use a decent amount on one corner to get a good seal. I actually put a small amount all around even with the gasket.

Glad you got it running again.

I did it just like the instruction said with some silicone at the front and rear covers on the corners. And its not leaking. Iam happy with it. I was pretty irritated with people online when i was doing research and debating on wether or not to use the gasket vs the solicone because most people stongly sugested against the moroso pan gasket but they themselves never used one and if you talk to people that have used one they say their really good. Turns out its a really good product but the yahoos out there that have never used one talk a lot of people out of it.

True story...and this applies to a lot of different "advice" found on the forums LOL

Would agree the gasket works great only used one so far but have several more projects in the near future that I plan on using them for. They are definitely worth the money in my opinion.
