Ford E250 Crank Sensor
I have a 1999 ford E250. It starts fine but it has a rough idle. I have unplugged the COP one by one to pinpoint the issue and found that 4 out of 8 plugs are not firing. Power to all the packs are good however, there are no ground signal going to the packs. It have me for a loop because the van starts and keep up except for the rough idle. would the crank sensor cause only 4 packs to fire? I read about a module that sends the ground signal but i cant locate one on this vehicle. I haven't checked the crank sensor as yet but i was wondering if its the sensor before i go crazy. I dont have my scan tool but as soon as i get it back ill check the code.

Are the plugs firing all on one side of the engine, Bank 1 or Bank 2 only? If yes then you might have an issue with the wiring harness leading from the COP's to the larger connector where it joins the other side then to the PCM. I'd check that harness and it's ground connections.
Typically if the CPS is faulty it'll show a code---I'm assuming your MIL is illuminated?
