Hello, I have a 2002 F-350 4x4 V10, about 1-2 weeks ago I noticed that my ABS light would come on here and there, no particular time frame it could be when I'm accelerating or even stopped, and when it did it would reset my speedometer, the light doesn't stay on for more than a half second than goes off. I replaced the rear wheel speed sensor and that did not work, so I drained the rear differential cleaned out the inside and put fresh gear lube in and that didn't work either. I'm starting to worry because when it comes on now I feel a slight jerk in the truck from it possibly trying to engage? I'm afraid of it screwing with my transmission so I'm probably going to park it till I can figure out what is wrong. Any suggestions? I got the rear speed sensor from Rock Auto, my next thought is to buy a motor craft ABS sensor from Oreilly's/AutoZone and see if that fixes it.
Should have the codes read; would show which sensor is causing the issue.
My 2006 F350 abs light has come on and off sporadically for probably the last three years or so. No rhyme or reason to when it happens. Has had no affect in anything. Code said it was something with the front passenger sensor. Haven’t bothered to mess with it

I did put it on a computer right after I changed out the differential oil and code C1230 was displayed. I cleared that code but it still coming on and off, with a sudden jerk of the truck when it comes on. Not sure if I just got a bad sensor and I should buy a new one, or if I'm just missing something.
Maybe you accidentally loosened the connection to the sensor when you were changing the diff oil. Just make sure the sensor is in tight snd the connection is clean and tight. If everything looks good and you still have an issue, put a new sensor in.
