Very possible. There were several versions of that transmission. Iron case, side shifted. Found in vans and pickups. Looks just like a performance 4 speed from the '60s because that's what it's based on. Aluminum case with a top shift out of the cover. Same basic design, found in pickups. Aluminum case with a tube heading back to a turret where the shifter is mounted. This is one that gives it the name "Single Rail Over Drive", or "SROD". Found in pickups and cars including Mustangs. I was trying to look at the picture of the tag and some is cutoff but I can make out clearly “G CD” I’m guessing RUG CD? Meaning that this is indeed a toploader overdrive?
