Make sure you installed the light plugs in the correct spot. If I remember correctly, I had the same issue and just unplugged everything and redid it to have it all working. (Not my video but the one I used)
I just installed a remote start kit in my truck from 12v, works great, except I have no headlights. Anyone have a solution?
Two solutions to your problem that will help.
One....remove the 12v kit and put it back to stock.
Two....remove the 12v kit, return it, purchase and install the Ford accessories remote start kit.
I just installed mine last night and followed the instructions step by step. I have running lights when it starts and headlights when I turn the truck on. Zero issues.
My recommendation would to be to install it and put it all back to normal. Start the truck and let it run for a minute or two. Then start the install process all over, step by step.
UPDATE.......I now have headlights, all is good and working normal. The issue was solved, the truck must be put into any gear (or taken out of park). I wish their tech line would have told me this when I called for assistance, they assumed a defective headlight harness and were willing to send me a new one. I discovered this fix on my own, left work at 3:30 and thought hurry home before it gets dark. And upon driving I noticed my headlights were on, verified this when I got home home and sure enough,.............shift to "D" and the lights come on.

Very odd indeed but i`m glad to hear that your headlights are working now.
