No Gears!

No Gears!
Howdy Y'all,
I've been lurking a while taking it all in and now I have a question.
I have a 1992 F150 4x4 5.0 engine. Last time I drove the truck all was good and it's been sitting in the driveway for a couple weeks. I started it over the weekend to run an errand and I have no gears. Nothing!
I checked the tranny fluid and it's good. I have noticed when returning the shifter arm to the Park position there is a clicking sound while the engine is running.
Anybody ever experienced this? Any help would be most appreciated!

I tried it in neutral. There's another thread on here concerning the same problem. There was discussion about locking the hubs, shifting to 4x4, moving the truck and then shifting to 2H before unlocking the hubs. Something about the system "locking up" and it has to be moved to shift properly (?)

I think it is with truck stopped clutch disengaged, shift into 4h. this engages the transfer case and hubs if auto hubs which will lock after moving forward. 4h to 2h can be done back and forth up to about 55 mph i think. To unlock the auto hubs shift to 2h and back up about 10 feet. 4low is similar but can only shift in and out when stopped
If hubs dont engage properly you will hear a ratcheting sound from the hubs
If the transfer case linkage is broken, the transfer case lever all the way to rear is 2 h. Least that is what i remember.
