Hi all, I am a new member. I have a 2011 F350 diesel dually that I tow an 18,000 lb 5th wheel with. I am having trouble with the braking system for the 5th wheel. The truck has the factory installed brake controller. I have checked the trailer brakes and they are like brand new even though I have 10,000 miles on then. I have tested the wiring for the trailer and it all appears good. When testing the controller output I found a 10 second delay before voltage is delivered to the trailer which is a long time in an emergency stop. I have had the controller tested at Ford and they see no problem with it. Has anyone had this problem before or know what the solution is? I tested a buddy's truck controller output and it goes to maximum 12 volt output within a second.
