Help with blank nav screen

17 KR w/Sync3--don't know all about how everything works, but--have completely blank screen. Stopped truck, nav screen on/everything fine, engine running, got out to speak to person. Wife in truck, turns radio on, hits stop engine switch to kill engine, pushed 'control' on screen to get to sirius audio source and I opened the door. Screen went completely blank--nothing. Get in truck, start truck, nothing on screen. Audio will work with off/on control, nothing else. Tried the S3 reset with audio up/vol switch at same time, no results.
Is there something I am missing to get screen back alive? Can't find exactly what I need in manual. Any help, or is the nav kaput?
Thanks,
Joe

EDIT: After messing with it for over an hour, during the time it took to come inside and get on the forum and post, I went back out and started the truck. Immediately, the Ford logo comes on and all seems to be OK again. Not sure what happened, just a computer glitch?

Disconnect your batteries for 10 min , reconnect and that should do the trick !

I have had a similar blank touchscreen issue and this resolved my problem...haven’t had this issue arise twice .

I hate to tell you this but your APIM is showing you signs that it`s failing. Common problem and most Ford dealers know about it. You`ll have to take your vehicle in so they can confirm this and they will have to order a new one because they are vehicle specific.

Thanks.
