Good Morning Everybody!
Yes, the railroad in Sparta shut down in 1932, the train depot was sold in 1933 and moved by a mule team and rolled it on logs to where it is now.

Howdy folk. First Christmas is tonight with my wife's side of the family. We will have 6 great niece/nephews at the house.
I might have to disappear to the shop for a bit. Great family, but too many people in one location wears on me after a while.
I ordered some shock mount bolts and asked Gwen is she wanted to wrap them for Christmas. That was a mistake, tomorrow I could put those on and get my shocks back on the rear. I might just have to steal that present tonight.

Joe.. Are those mounts for your 55? Do they attach with bolts, rivets, or welding? Looks like mine came from factory with rivets. Then, some PO welded. However, LMC shows bolts!

Merry Christmas all.
They are bolts. I did end up stealing them and starting to install them yesterday. I initially installed the 71 rear with its mounting brackets that don't have the shock mount built in. The stock one on the 71 rear won't work for my truck so now I'm swapping out for the 55 brackets that have the shock mount as part of the bracket. Straight forward job except for scrawny me trying to get the nuts to 165-185 ft lbs.
