Nine days left to get as much as I can done on the C cab. I got the steering done and the fender and the running board on the driver's side lined up better yesterday. Today, it's the rear fender's turn for some final fitment and permanent mounts, then flip the thing around in the garage and work on the other side.

Good luck on finding the motivation RC. I bet Alan finds more old work on the C-cab that doesn't meet his current standards.

Only 46 here in KC, rainy, cloudy & gloomy. I'm sitting on
the couch waiting for the mail man to deliver my new ECM so my Caddy will run right again.

Of course of late, he hasn't been delivering until 4:00 or later. We're only a mile from the post office.

I only work 12 days in December. The 18th is my last day.

Afternoon all. SiriusXM finally made an offer to reactivate my radio that we couldn't pass up - less than $6/month for the next year. I spent this morning taking it out of the '87 and putting it in the dually. I'm not really happy how the wiring looks but it'll do until I come up with a better idea.

Off to the basement to play with metal.

Well, much to my surprise, that went far better than I had expected. I've got the patch in and tacked into position. Hopefully the final welding will go better than the tack welds did. It was a pretty fine line between too cold and burning through.

If they offered it free for life I wouldn't reactivate. I could set my watch by when they played the same song every day. Then there was the annoying DJ's.

True, but there's something funky around Ft. Wood that wreaks havoc on the local radio stations. Sometimes they're fine, sometimes they're impossible to get. If I get a loop, I just change stations.

I could see it for that reason. I hate radio period. It's way worse than Serious XM. I have blue tooth devices in the garage and basement so I listen to Pandora. In the car it's my iPod.

I have a TON of music on my ipod/phone/MP3 and blue tooth it as much as possible to a 808 "canz" or even hard wire plug in a MP3 player to my G-Project G-Boom box!

Awesome Walmart find.
Amazon Amazon

Day 2 in the saddle for a few hrs, and maybe some trigger time tomorrow.

The same phenomena that affects the radio affects cell phone signal as well. Sometimes it's there, more often it's not. I've got the capability to play the music on my phone, but I'm so fickle as to what I want to listen to at 0 dark hundred in the morning I usually spend more time fiddling with phone than I should. Once I'm on the road, there's not many places to stop and change it.

Morning all!

Good Morning Everybody!

Going to look at a truck today. A '79 Kenworth. It's a bit of a project, but it's cheap, so we'll see what it looks like.

I got a bunch done yesterday on the cab and shoved it outside to take a couple pictures, then flipped it around so I could start working on the other side. It's getting closer.
