since theres really no adjustment to ford axles they would have to either put caster bushings in every truck or make a new welding jig or make adj radius arms. some form of adjustment is the best way imo. but you have to becareful with rolling the axle back as you dont want the pinion pointing down to much.
Freely admitting that I don’t have any idea what you just said, it seems like there are members on this site that are taking their afflicted trucks to non-dealer front end shops, adjusting the camber/caster numbers to a level of 4, and fixing the death wobble issue.
If Billy Bob at Joe’s Front End service can do it, why can’t FoMoCo do it?
For those curious about their caster angle, load the angle finder app on your phone, crawl under the font of your truck and put the edge of your phone on the flat round casting hole to the right of the punkin( looking at diff from the front), then rite that number down, go to you tube and use the formula, search. Jfk 4wd Adventures. Caster and pinion angle
my truck is bone stock. At 60 to 65 mph is where my death wobble starts. I can make it do it on que now simply set the cruise at 65 then lightly start breaking and it do it every time. Truck was great up to 24k mikes that’s when it started. I have been to the dealership twice and they have changed a couple of bushings but said they find no issues with the steering or the breaking system. Have not noticed any wobbling at any other speeds.

Sounds to me like you may need to get your rotors checked, maybe turned. DW doesn’t need braking to start.
whoever said DEATH WOBBLE doesnt exist...
take the service guy on a little road trip!!!!
it blows my mind that you guys with such new trucks are experiencing this MESSED UP TRAMA!
I have a 2005 f350 SuperDuty 4x4, EVERYTHING UNDER FRONTEND WAS WORE OUT. Just got it all fixed yesterday and my truck is badass now! I have owned this truck since May and havent gone over 25/30 mph. YESTERDAY I WENT 75mph and it was totally AWESOME!!! I would slam the guy that sold me the truck, but i dont want to get in trouble!!!
THERE SHOULD BE NO THREAD BECAUSE THERE SHOULD BE NO DAM DEATH WOBBLE. One thing for certain, if you havent lived through it personally, you really dont know. ITS WAS HORRIFIC FOR ME MY FIRST TIME at 60/65mph.

rotors are good this is a brand new truck. Most these death wobble issues are starting around 60 to 65. Just simply hitting the breaks causes enough movement in the front end to get it to start. I have taken 2 different service writers out for the ride of their lives so far. But they still do not admit they have a problem. Just going to replace a couple more bushings and try it again.

Are you saying that you've taken TWO service advisors out for test drives and your truck Death Wobbled for each of them and they both are waffling on you? You gave us some specifics about your truck: 2018 F-250 with 24,000 miles on it. Is it a 4x4, Diesel or Gas? What have they done so far - implemented TSB 18-2268, as in replaced your steering stabilizer and adjusted the caster so that it is around +3 degrees? Or are they blindly "throwing darts" at your front suspension components? Might we inquire as to what part of the country you're in even though that matters not relative to your predicament?

it is 2018 F-250 4 door 4x4 diesel STX. Collage Station TX. Yes I took 2 different ones out for a ride. They replaced the tie rod bushings the first time and realigned the front end. Did not give me any specifics of what they set anything at. The second time I took the truck to a different dealership and have my truck scheduled to go in on Tuesday. But both have told me this is the first that they have heard of this issue. My truck only does this between 60 to 65. It does not do it on every bump you hit but I travel the same roads every day and have learned which bumps will do it and also hitting the breaks at that speed with certain pressure is also enough to get it to start. It is not a fun thing to have happen but at least knowing when and where and what will mosty start helps a little. But defiantly helps trying to prove a point to the dealership.
I'm convinced my truck will get the infamous death wobble. As a few have mentioned, I can feel a shimmy when going over certain bumps on the freeway.
Hope I'm wrong in the long run.

they could do it but if you look at the options ,maybe theyre unwilling to do it. they would have to either add caster bushings to every axle rolling off the assembly line, or every axle off the assembly line needs rewelded with more caster built in or design new radius arms with adjustability but this option needs to be aproached with caution so i doesnt mess with the already established pinion angle . perhaps there wasnt near enough thought and testing put into these fronts ends from the get go
