Key Bob/Fob
Not sure this belongs in here. Here goes ! Does any else have a F-350 ,2001 Super Duty, V-10 Key fob/bob. Never got 1. Reordering a new 1 and the dealership says there's about 15 different designs .

these fobs usually work with like 1994 and newer Ford vehicles. They come in 3 and 4 button variety. You can use either but 3 button is what you need as you do not have a need for trunk release.

Best advise right there. It will only take a few minutes, and it won't hurt anything by doing it. The OP never said what model he had. I don't think it was even an option on the XL model.

But the parts guy could have found it with the vin. He was just being lazy, always give your vin when ordering specific parts.

I think the parts guy was just being a jerk. How many pickup key fobs do you think were available for the 2001 trucks? Trucks had three buttons and the cars had four buttons. All of the truck key fobs for 2001 would work fine.
