Hi, I have a 1995 F150 5.8 4x4 which is currently shifting hard mostly 1st to 2nd. Also had started having idle issues and stalling. Ran the codes and came back with 121, 332, 634 and 654. Changed the TPS and the idle issues resolved. What should be my next steps in figuring out the tranny issue? Thank you guys in advance!
You did not say if the codes were Key On Engine Running (KOER) or Continuous Memory (CM) so I will list both DTC 332 codes.
DTC 332 in Key On Engine Running (KOER) indicates the EVP sensor input did not change after the EVR solenoid was instructed by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to open the EGR valve.
Continuous Memory DTC 332 indicates the EGR valve did not open with the engine stabilized and the EVR solenoid duty cycle present sometime during vehicle operation.
Possible causes:
-- Obstructed or cracked hose to EGR valve.
-- Icing.
-- Damaged EGR valve.
-- Damaged EVR solenoid harness.

DTC 634 indicates the TR sensor is out of Self-Test range when the gear selector is in Park.
Possible causes:
-- Transmission Range not in Park during Self-Test.
-- Misadjusted linkage.
-- Open or short in harness circuits.
-- Damaged TR sensor.
-- Damaged PCM.
