Need Advise on 19000 GVWR Toy Hauler
I guess I should say I need advice. Hey guys I currently own a 2019 F350 SRW LB ..Im looking at a 2020 attitude eclipse 3218mm which has a GVWR of 19000 , dry weight of about 12k and hitch weight under 2900...Is this F450 territory or can my f350 pull this thing safely? I will be hauling a 2014 rzr 800 4 seater. thks

Assuming you have the 6.7 your payload (according to the sticker on the door jamb) is probably around 3200# +/-, depending on trim and options. Not much room there. I've never pulled a 5th wheel camper but the math is telling me you won't have much payload left (legally). IMO, your current truck would suffice, but the dually would give you a cushion to work with. Be safe!

The typical rule of thumb for fivers is that they run between 20-25% of the GVWR as pin weight, so with that 19K TH you are looking at a potential pin weight of between 3800 and 4750 lbs, sounds a little heavy for a SRW truck to me.
Advertised dry weights are equal parts fantasy and guess work, real world experience says to work off of the rated GVWR for calculating what the truck will be seeing going down the road all loaded up.
Its still 2018 heart in the East, how are you checking out a 2020 model already?

I would want to use an F-450 for a trailer that heavy. 6.7L with the lowest gear ratio possible, but I'm not in a hurry when I pull a trailer. I might use my F-350 SRW to pull it between my house and the storage lot though.
The dry weight may be a trailer with no options and nothing in it. Toy haulers are notoriously pin heavy, but there are exceptions. My tongue weight goes up almost 500 lbs if there is nothing in the garage.
