Clutch pedal issues

Ok so issue. I got an 87 150 with 4.9 inline with 4spd manual. I just replaced the clutch master cylinder and external slave. Clutch pedal was grabbing about halfway, so I knew I had air. Tried to pump and bleed from the slave bleeder screw, pedal went to the floor and never returned. Its now worse then it was before. Any pointers?

Easiest way, get a "mighty vac" hand vacuum pump and suction bleed it. I do this with brakes, and rarely have to do the pump and bleed method

Pull the pedal up off the floor, top off your reservoir, and get underneath and crack the bleeder. Wait till you have a steady stream of fluid dripping out and then shut the bleeder. While doing this, keep an eye on the reservoir and make sure it doesn't run dry.

At this point you've 'gravity bled' the pedal. The pedal should have some pressure, maybe not perfect, but should operate the clutch.

Now check your pedal feel. If it still feels soft, have someone work the pedal while you work the bleeder. You crack the bleeder, then have them press and hold the pedal, then you close the bleeder and then they can let the pedal out. Do this until the pedal feels firm, again keeping an eye on the fluid level in the reservoir.

If you are still having trouble at that point, take it to a shop and have them reverse bleed it. Reverse bleeding is the best way to bleed a clutch or brakes IMO, but it's not always necessary.
